Labor Day

The Sekerak family took a rest on Labor Day! During the weekend we celebrated the 32 year anniversary of the Voyager I launch more commonly known in these parts as
Mike's Birthday!

Earlier in the day we prepared for another birthday by taking our hospital tour. Mike now has completed the pre-launch Recon and is currently piecing together field orders for Baby Launch Day. I did my part that day by learning all about the joys of breastfeeding (Mike got out of this one only because it was his birthday . . . and he cried!).

Further cause for celebration was a great season opener in the Big House . . . in case you missed the score Michigan 31 Western Michigan 7!

Mike's birthday dinner was Pizza Lasagna--a failed attempt at deep dish pizza though the taste remained above average! Scout was very helpful while Mike opened his gifts and cards. Keep an eye out for his new style coming this fall.

Aviana gave her Dad a big birthday high five from the womb!

Baby preparations would not be complete without a BABYMOON! Mike and I escaped to north of Santa Fe to the Buffalo Thunder Resort and Casino for some R & R!

It's a tough life waiting for my pre-natal massage . . .

And they had fireworks in honor of Aviana . . .

The food was phenomenal and this high roller took his good luck lady to casino. I will admit the house did win but after being down to our last bet at the blackjack tables we rebounded respectably! And there is nothing like watching a pregnant woman play craps!

Broke but relaxed we chilled by the pool enjoying the view.

Here's the Buffalo!

And the Thunder!

Lippy and Sarmie invade!

My hometown homies Sarah (aka Sarmie) and Laura (aka Lippy) couldn't resist coming out to admire the view of my ever
expanding waistline.

Aviana received lots of love and attention from two wonderful "aunts" who I am sure will always be cooler in her eyes than mom could ever be!

The Northbrook Princesses enjoyed pampering in the form of manicures and pedicures! Then spent the afternoon wandering around Old Town reliving the days of cowboys and indians . . .

There's nothing like BBQ'd steaks, campfire, Scotch (for Mike), and good friends on a perfect summer night! Shane and Bobbi-Jo joined our group for the festivities and fun! The true sign of a party animal is passing out on the couch . . . Mike!

It was very special to have my girls visit! I am lucky to have such caring friends
--love you both!

Mike somehow survived the estrogen overload of our girl's weekend . . . I think it helped he spent the week before at White Sands Missile Range playing with rockets!

Week 32

Bellylicious . . that's how I would describe week 32 and beyond. I am all belly these days though my loving husband assures me this is normal as I approach the pregnancy finish line!

Here is my self-portrait during a period of boredom with Mike out of town. I was particularly impressed by the bump in this outfit!

Next we move onto a very important event in life: Belly's first Chicago Bears game! Unfortunately the Sekerak household was unable to view the Bears-Browns pre-season game but we'll just all agree the better team won ;)

Around this time we said good bye to our friends the Reillys as they left the Land of Enchantment to move back to Denver. Here was the Reilly-Sekerak version of the last supper! Miss you guys!
