Northern Michigan June 2011

Loves turtles and her Daddy . . . just like her Mommy!
Playing in the sand along Lake Michigan in Traverse City!

Checking out the boats!
Two cute beach bums!

Visiting Mayfield and Grandma Edith's old house.  Mommy has many happy memories visiting as a child!

At the park dedicated to Aviana's Great-Great Grandparents!
Information about the park, Halliday Family and lots of our ancestors.

Helping Aunt Martha get ready for the picnic!

Mayfield Pond with Uncle Jack

Exhibit at the Kingsley library about Great-Great Grandpa Halliday and his creation-the Adam's fly!

Refreshing dip after the picnic!  Aviana loved the water and swimming.  She was turning blue and her teeth were chattering when Mommy finally called the swimmer's out!

Then it was off to the Upper Peninsula to visit Gramma and Grampa!  At the Wallace zoo feeding the goats!

Mom, I think we'd better move--he's going to spit!

Here Grampa you open your Grandfather's day card like this!

Great rocking chair Uncle Carl!  Thanks for letting me use it!

Picking out a name for "Special" Michael Sekerak . . . and no Aviana brother still does not have a name!

Lovely day for a picnic!

View from our picnic!
I think Aviana made her choice!

Chilly day at the Escanaba playground . . .  still enjoyed the swings!

Looking at pictures with Gramma!  Her favorite was Uncle Carl getting a pie in the face!

Little cabin--where the girls stayed (and Scout).

Big Cabin
Aviana enjoyed several canoe rides, most with Scout swimming next to us!  Also throwing rocks off the dock and watching the tadpoles were favorite activities!

She's a country girl now!
