I won't leave you in suspense we are having . . . a little GIRL! Our 20 week ultrasound showed a healthy, active baby girl. Mom and Dad are very excited and we cannot wait to see her in October!
This exciting news kicked of a mother-daughter weekend in Chicago. The cold, somewhat rainy weather did not dampen the fun! My mom and I spent several days catching up with old friends and of course talking babies! Mom threw a wonderful luncheon for our mother-daughter friends at the Seasons of Long Grove. It was inspirational seeing such strong, wonderful woman together. I have so many great role models for my little girl; the best one being her grandmother!
On the heels of this trip came the Sekerak parents; Val and Jim braved the tornadoes in the midwest driving all the way to Albuquerque. The week was spent touring Santa Fe, Bandelier monument, the Atomic museum, and enjoying each other's company.
Now I am 23 weeks and it is time for us to turn our attention to the nursery. With my belly growing I will be the supervisor as our Daddy-to-be moves furniture, puts up paint, and sets up our daughter's new abode!
